My Experience

Throughout my career to date working both for charities and in the NHS, I have gained eight years of experience, working in a range of settings and with a range of mental health difficulties. This has included young people ranging from 5-25 years of age through to older adults. I am a specialist in trauma therapy and therapy for anxiety and depression.  My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing upon my training and including what is shown to work best to facilitate positive outcomes of mental health difficulties (NICE guidelines).  Psychological models that I find most helpful are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization  and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

I have provided supervision for Assistant Psychologists, trainee Clinical Psychologists and qualified Clinical Psychologists both within the NHS and in private practice.  I am an affiliated supervisor with both Coventry University and The University of Birmingham for their Trainee Clinical Psychologists and offer both core and specialist placements to Trainees.
